Team history

Gibraltar became a UEFA member in 2013 and a FIFA member in 2016. Their first European qualifying campaign therefore belongs to a very different era from those of most opponents: the team are still building their record in official international competition.

Lee Casciaro scored Gibraltar's first competitive goal against Scotland in March 2015. The first competitive win followed in the 2018 Nations League, a 1–0 victory away to Armenia. Gibraltar later won promotion from League D in 2020. These are national-team milestones; they do not imply a EURO or World Cup finals appearance.
