MoreAbout the tournament
The next date to follow
The qualifying draw in Belfast is the next step towards EURO 2028. It decides the groups and opponents for the qualifying campaign. The final tournament draw comes later, after most finals places have been settled. Keeping those two events separate makes it easier to follow what each announcement changes.
Our draw guide brings together the confirmed venue, the seeding rules and the information still awaiting publication. Once the official pots are available, they will sit beside the procedure. After the draw, the confirmed groups become the starting point for the qualifying match calendar.
A finals calendar you can already use
The finals have a published programme of match dates, venues and draw positions. That is enough to compare a visit to Cardiff with a stay in Dublin or to find which grounds host knockout football. The countries filling most positions will only become clear through qualification and the final draw.
Choose a city to see its full programme, or a stadium to keep the list tied to one ground. London has two tournament venues, so a London fixture needs a stadium check as well as a date. The fixtures page collects the competition in date order, while the calendar offers an ICS feed and a printable view.
Follow the qualification route
A qualifying table answers who is winning a group. The runners-up ranking answers a different question: which second-placed teams earn a direct finals place. Both will matter during the campaign. The qualifying guide explains the comparison and how the hosts’ reserved places affect the play-offs.
Use the qualifying guide to compare the group table, the runners-up ranking and the host-place route as each result is confirmed.
Questions and answers
Where should I start before the draw?
Open the qualifying draw guide for the date, venue, seeding basis and the current status of the pots. The fixtures calendar covers the finals, which are drawn separately.
Can I use the schedule before the teams are known?
Yes. The published dates and venues help compare cities and tournament stages. Opponents remain labelled by their draw positions until the relevant sporting results and draw allocations are confirmed.
