Team history
Their senior men's team have yet to reach a EURO or World Cup finals, although individual qualifying results have shown they can challenge opponents with much deeper tournament histories.
A 1–0 win against the Netherlands in 1995 and another away to France in September 2010 are two of the clearest examples. Belarus also finished third in their 2002 World Cup qualifying group. Aleksandr Hleb's international career is a central reference point, alongside long-serving players such as Sergei Gurenko and Maksim Romashchenko.
