Glasgow’s six-match programme stays at Hampden Park. Four group fixtures are followed by a last-16 tie and a quarter-final. This is the only finals venue in Scotland in the published schedule, so a Scotland-based EURO itinerary should be organised around Hampden’s actual dates.
Three group fixtures involve F1. Scotland’s conditional group-head place makes those dates relevant to its supporters, but qualification still needs to happen. The last-16 match follows the Group F winner, while the quarter-final has its own incoming bracket route. Those are distinct routes, not a guarantee that one team stays in Glasgow for both rounds.
A longer stay or one knockout day
Glasgow’s last-16 tie is on 26 June and its quarter-final on 1 July. A supporter attending both sees two distinct bracket routes at Hampden. The last-16 winner continues to Dublin; the Glasgow quarter-final takes the winners of the Dublin and Birmingham ties. Those links help decide whether to keep a city base or travel with a team.
Planning the stadium journey
Hampden’s railway guidance points to Mount Florida and King’s Park, with services from Glasgow Central. Planning a trip into Glasgow is only the first part of the journey. Leave time for the station-to-stadium approach and the managed departure after a full match, and check the event’s current rail advice.
Choosing your dates
Use the first and last match dates as the edges of the city programme, then check the individual fixture you want. A date-only listing does not supply a starting time. Where a knockout match is involved, the end of play may also include extra time and a penalty shoot-out.
Between the matches
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and the Riverside Museum offer two different ways to spend a non-match period: art and collections at one, transport and the city’s riverside setting at the other. They belong to a wider Glasgow visit, not to the stadium approach. Allow a separate journey to Hampden, and use the official visitor information to check the arrangements that will apply during your stay.
