Team history
Denmark won EURO 1992 by eliminating the Netherlands on penalties in the semi-finals and beating world champions Germany 2–0 in the final, with goals from John Jensen and Kim Vilfort.
That title was not Denmark's only successful generation. The Danish Dynamite side reached the 1984 European semi-finals, and the 1998 team made the World Cup quarter-finals. At EURO 2020, played in 2021, Denmark again reached the last four. Peter Schmeichel, the Laudrup brothers and Christian Eriksen link these different periods.
