Portugal’s federation has provisionally suspended Cristiano Ronaldo and opened disciplinary proceedings over his departure from the national-team camp. The measure was reported on 10 October and was not yet the final sanction.
The dispute followed a disagreement with coach Jorge Jesus over playing time. The disciplinary committee was tasked with reviewing the case.
